Wow, Wednesday night and I actually have all my homework due for a while (till Tuesday, at least). For the last hour or so, there's been an odd sound a bit like bongo drums outside my window. At first I thought it was some guy with... bongo drums, but when I went outside to chew him out, I found something diffrent. Apparently the sewer drain outside is venting a massive amount of steam, enough to pick up and drop the manhole cover a couple times a second. Pretty loud, real annoying. The cops came and put up road flares, but I can't figure out for the life of me why they didn't just take off the manhole cover. Lets the steam vent all it wants, and no noise..

Well, thanks again to the UMD police. Red flares, fog, bongo-drum like noise... all we need is some techno music and strobe lights and we can have the UMD manhole rave.
